Luka Modric is Davide Ancelotti’s 2025 Ballon d’Or pick. Ancelotti was Real Madrid’s assistant coach before that. After the FIFA Club World Cup in the US concludes, Modric will depart Real Madrid.
In 2018, the midfielder from Croatia was named Ballon d’Or. During the summer of this year, Modric, who is 39 years old, will sign a one-year contract to play for AC Milan.
According to Madrid Xtra on X, Ancelotti responded to the question of who should receive the Ballon d’Or this year by saying: “This year? Mario Modric. What became of Luka Modrić?” he enquired further. The club’s decisions are not something I wish to discuss.
Luka has a great deal of football left in him. Perhaps our departure would not have had any effect had we remained. It’s true that football is evolving, but Luka is free to play for as long as he desires since he plays with his brain.
With only 13 goal assists in 60 games played for Real Madrid in all competitions last season, Modric will likely not be considered for the Ballon d’Or this year.
