Arsenal’s head coach, Mikel Arteta, expressed that Enzo Maresca performed “a fantastic job” during his time at Chelsea.
Arteta’s comments came in light of the Blues’ choice to let Maresca go on January 1.
“I wish him all the best for the season,” Arteta remarked.
“I have a lot of respect for Enzo both as a person and a professional.
“He did an excellent job at Chelsea, and that’s the choice that has been made. I wish him nothing but success.”
Maresca concluded the previous season with titles in the Europa Conference League and the Club World Cup.
However, Chelsea is struggling this season, currently trailing 15 points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.
