Big Bolaji, a gospel singer from Nigeria named Bolaji Olarewaju, has passed away. His loved ones released a statement on Saturday confirming his passing. The announcement claims that Big Bolaji passed away after a short illness.
The statement goes as follows: “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Bolaji Olarewaju, lovingly known as “Big B,” a beloved father, husband, brother, and respected member of the church community. He was also an ordained pastor in the RCCG and a cultural icon in our area’s music industry.
“Bolaji passed away on Easter Saturday, April 19th, 2025, following a short illness. Details of his funeral services will be announced at the appropriate time, according to his family.
The recent celebration of Big Bolaji’s 50th birthday was rather recent. He started his musical ministry with the band J’apha and is now a radio talk show host as well.
