Gentleman Mike Ejeagha, a seasoned highlife artist from Nigeria, was laid to rest just one day after passing away.
The performer, who was 95 years old, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, following a protracted struggle with prostate cancer, according to Naijatrial. Umuagba, in the Imezi-Owa region of Enugu State, was the site of Ejeagha’s burial on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
According to the first son, Emmanuel Ejeagha, who was the father, the burial took place within 24 hours, as per his last wish.
My dad specifically requested that he be laid to rest within twenty-four hours of passing away. I also contacted my loved ones back home.
According to his statement to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), even Governor Peter Mbah was informed, and everyone agreed that his demand should be respected. Additionally, Emmanuel Ejeagha indicated that details regarding his funeral will be revealed at a later time.
