Elon Musk was offered an extension of his advising status within President Trump’s administration during a meeting with the president on Wednesday at the White House.
The tech magnate, who is 53 years old, was present at President Trump’s first Cabinet meeting after he completed his 100 days in office.
The American people “voted for secure borders, safe cities, and sensible spending, and that’s what they’ve gotten,” Musk said in what seemed like a parting speech.
Compared to prior administrations, Musk asserted that “a tremendous amount” had been achieved in the first 100 days.
He expressed his belief that this accomplishment “portends very well for what will happen for the rest of the administration” and speculated that this particular administration has the potential to be the “greatest” in American history.
The chairman of the Department of Government Efficiency, a top assistant to the president, Musk, verified the savings of $160 billion since January.
But Tesla’s CEO is worried about the insults directed at his business, saying, “They do like to burn my cars, which is not great.”
To this, President Trump expressed his gratitude to Musk, saying that he has “sacrificed a lot” and been “treated unfairly.”
The great majority of people hold Musk in high regard, Trump said, since he has opened “a lot of eyes to what could be done.”
After expressing gratitude, the president extended an invitation for the guests to remain for an extended period of time.
While reports indicate that Musk is no longer based out of the White House, his DOGE team is apparently still using the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
