In Kamuru village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Kaduna State, troops from Sector 7, Operation Enduring Peace, and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have apprehended a suspected kidnapper.
Zagazola Makama, a well-known media and counter-insurgency expert, cited a security source in a post on his social media platform, stating, “The suspect was apprehended around 3:30 a.m. on May 12 during a joint security raid in the community.”
The suspect, 45-year-old Husaini Jibrin, was allegedly connected to a kidnapping event that took place in the Angwan Ali neighbourhood inside the same local government region on April 26, 2026.
The suspect may have been involved in the planning and execution of the kidnapping, according to preliminary investigations, which increased animosity between neighbours.
A cell phone and N10,000 in cash were found on the suspect during the operation, according to the report.
