LG is essential to Taraba-Bawa’s development

Abubakar Bawa, the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) Taraba state chairman, has underlined the vital role local government chairmen play in guaranteeing the effective execution of government programs at the local level.

During a strategic discussion with the chairmen of the state’s sixteen local government councils on Wednesday in Jalingo, Bawa made the statement.

According to our reporter, the purpose of the conference was to improve cooperation in state governance and boost party coordination.

According to Bawa, “local government chairmen, being the third tier of government, remain the closest administrative authorities to the people and therefore carry significant responsibility in driving development and implementing state government programs within their respective councils.”

In addition to keeping close relations with party institutions throughout their local government regions, he asked the council chairmen to aggressively support and promote party activities at the ward level.

In order to guarantee efficient governance and long-term political stability in the state, Bawa also emphasised the necessity of unity and dedication among party stakeholders.

Moses Maihankali, the chairman of the Kurmi local government council and the chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Taraba state, responded on behalf of the council chairmen and praised the APC leadership for its inclusive style of governance and participation of local government officials in decision-making processes.

Maihankali gave the party leadership the assurance that the council chairmen would be loyal, cooperative, and fully supportive of the APC and the state administration in pushing development initiatives throughout the state.
