reported that a 17-year-old guy, named Daneri Alhaji Yaro, was kidnaped during the early morning of 5 August 2026.
He was kidnaped in Aladere Village, along the Ikoyi-Ile route, adjacent to the Government Reserve Forest.
The authority has, nonetheless, verified that the abducted individual has been liberated.
The directive issued the revelation in a statement endorsed by its Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade.
The declaration was disseminated to on Thursday evening.
Ayanlade stated that the victim was saved by the command’s personnel in conjunction with other security organisations.
He stated that the victim was saved without injury.

Ayanlade stated, “The Oyo State Police Command has effectively liberated a 17-year-old male, Daneri Alhaji Yaro, who was kidnaped in the early morning of 5 August 2026 at Aladere Village, near Ikoyi-Ile, adjacent to the Government Reserve Forest.”
The Divisional Police Officer promptly acted on the intelligence by deploying a unified team of police personnel, Amotekun Corps members, local vigilantes, and hunters to the location for a coordinated search-and-rescue operation.
The man was saved unharmed and has subsequently been reunited with his family.
