Onyinyechi Basil, who represented Anambra State, won the title after a thrilling competition that illuminated Lagos on Saturday night.
Basil triumphed in the grand finale, standing alongside Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde, as the last two contestants, with the franchise confirming her victory. The new queen outperformed several strong competitors.
Miss Bayelsa, Fortune Kurobo, secured the position of second runner-up, while Miss Ogun, Irene Ikediashi, claimed third runner-up.
Miss Akwa Ibom, Idah Eno, also made it to the top five and was awarded the distinct title of Miss Supranational Nigeria 2025.
Out of the 22 contestants who started the competition, only 10 reached the final stages. Among them were Miss Delta, De-Blessing Asaboro; Miss Ekiti, Ezekiel Silver; Miss Imo, Chukwukereobi Chinaza; Miss Ebonyi, Ugoaru Onuoha; and Miss Oyo, Lagoke Funmike, although they did not advance further. The evening was a celebration of culture, glamour, and creativity.
The traditional attire segment highlighted Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, with contestants showcasing modern designs paired with local fabrics in outfits that received enthusiastic applause from the audience.
During the swimwear segment, the contestants confidently walked the runway, emphasizing themes of body positivity and inclusivity.
The entertainment kicked off with choreographed dance performances, creating an energetic atmosphere and providing a lively start to the show.
As per the voting statistics released by the Nigerian Franchise for Miss Universe Nigeria, Miss Delta, De-Blessing Asaboro, topped the polls with 38,319 votes.
She was closely followed by Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde, who garnered 34,033 votes, and Miss Ekiti, Ezekiel Silver, with 28,074 votes, showcasing the significant public interest in this year’s event.
