Music is more than just a career to me; it’s my life’s work. In the words of Burna Boy

I don’t consider music as a job,” stated Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian performer. The ‘Odogwu’ singer-songwriter said that music is more of a way of life than a career, and that he loves it.

The musician recently told BBC Radio 1 Xtra that he doesn’t consider music a job but rather a way of life, thus he doesn’t see the need to take a holiday.

“I adore my job,” he declared. My work is more like a hobby than a job. Life, in my view. For what reasons is a break from life necessary?

“I am in no way qualified to be a bricklayer or worker. There’s no getting away from that. In the case of Burna Boy, it is not. To put it simply, my job is my way of life.

If I weren’t already doing it, that’s what I would want to do. I don’t see any reason to take a break from it, then. Unless I’m very elderly or a parent. I am not even a parent. No reason for me to take a vacation.
