Barrister Silas Onu, who is said to be the party’s factional chairman in Ebonyi State, has denied the allegations.
Those involved in the “purported” suspension were threatened with legal action by Onu.
The ADC’s acting secretary and chairman reportedly made the announcement of the suspension in Obiozara Ward.
The grounds for his suspension include financial exploitation of party members, therefore presenting me as a fraudster without justification or basis,” Onu stated in a statement he made on Friday.
Anyone can play politics the way they think is fair for them. The creators and publishers of defamatory statements can be sued for libel if their insanity goes beyond assaulting someone’s reputation without legal or reasonable grounds.
I need to know who these people are and where they live so that my lawyer may notify them of my defamation lawsuit as soon as possible, thus I have requested that their identities and addresses be determined.
If they want to prove their claims that I am dishonest, this is their chance.
It should be noted that all 171 wards in Ebonyi State have held elections and have appointed substantive leaders to oversee their respective operations. As a result, there is no ward in the state operating under the leadership of an acting executive. No one ever gets Mr. Godwin Njoku, Chairman of Obiozara Ward, involved in such a notorious crime.
In response to the suspension, Engr. Chinedum Elekwachi, Chairman of ADC Ohaozara LGA, made it clear that Peter Obinna and Akuma Martins, who were named as Chairman and Secretary, Obiozara Ward, respectively, are not affiliated with or known to ADC.
Elekwachi reports that Mr. Godwin Njoku has been officially chosen as the Chairman of the ADC in Obiozara Ward.
According to him, “acting chairman” does not exist at the ward level or anywhere else in the Ebonyi State ADC structure.
