The official autopsy report for Gene Hackman, the actor who won an Oscar, has been made public. Published two months after the home deaths of Hackman and his wife, it revealed their medical history.
New Mexico’s Office of the Medical Investigator released the findings. Affidavit of search warrant said that their deaths were “suspicious enough in nature to require a thorough search and investigation,” even though there was no indication of foul play upon their bodies’ discovery.
A “history of congestive heart failure” and “severe chronic hypertensive changes, kidneys” were included in the 95-year-old’s medical record.
It was also revealed that Hackman had “neurodegenerative features consistent with Alzheimer’s Disease” and a “bi-ventricular pacemaker” since April 2019.
The docs mentioned that there were big, distant myocardial infarctions involving the septum and the left ventricle.
“Microscopic findings of advanced stage Alzheimer’s disease were revealed during the examination of the brain.”
Despite this, Hackman’s Hantavirus test came out negative. According to the ruling, his Betsy Arakawa died of the rat-borne sickness.
