The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeat Russia in Moscow

In a friendly match between the two teams in Moscow, the Super Eagles of Nigeria scored a late equaliser to tie Russia 1-1.

On Friday night, the Luzhniki Stadium hosted the contest. Just before halftime, Semi Ajayi scored an own goal for the hosts.

But after the Russian custodian missed a pass, Tolu Arokodare equalised for Eric Chelle’s team in the second half.

In the next days, Nigeria’s attention will turn to the World Cup qualifying matches. Later in the year, the Super Eagles will play South Africa and Rwanda.

After last weekend’s victory against Jamaica in London for the Unity Cup, Nigeria will face Russia in their next match.
