Ruben Amorim, manager of Manchester United, has stated he will not resign from his position but has acknowledged he will face dismissal if the team’s performance does not improve. Amorim hinted that he would leave Old Trafford after Sunday’s 2-0 loss to West Ham.
This was Manchester United’s 17th league defeat of the season. On Wednesday, though, Amorim spoke to the media and made it clear he has no intention of giving up.
What Amorim meant was that he had been constantly bringing up the standards ever since he had landed in the country.
I don’t understand how the team can be performing at this level, particularly in the Premier League, and still refuse to acknowledge the situation or accept blame.
The thing is, I know exactly what to do. I am not, and will not be, giving up on the squad because I am aware of their struggles.
To clarify, I’m stating that we have this season and future seasons in which we must perform in order to avoid having our identities altered. Yeah, that’s very typical.
