It is unknown what illness Buhari was treated for during his 225 days away from Nigeria as president, but he did so for medical reasons.
His 104-day medical trek to London in May 2017 was the longest of his life. Ten to twenty days preceded Buhari’s passing while he was a patient at the London clinic. On Tuesday, the former president’s burial took place in Daura, his hometown in Katsina State.
