In response to the US National Science Foundation’s (NSF) decision to cancel 402 “wasteful” DEI grants totaling $233 million, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), headed by tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, took action on Saturday.
In an effort to make sure that all of its grants, both old and new, are in line with its goals, the National Science Foundation (NSF) said on Friday that it is ending grants that do not.
Additionally, the agency emphasized its dedication to ensuring equal opportunity for all Americans, regardless of their background or location. In response to the news on Saturday, DOGE tweeted on X that the NSF was doing “great work.”
