Abia State Governor Alex Otti has stated that the upcoming 2027 election will be less challenging for him compared to his past experiences.
He mentioned that he is not intimidated by the 2027 elections, as the accomplishments of his administration since he took office in Abia State will facilitate a smoother process.
Otti made these remarks during the 2025 Aro Day celebration in Arochukwu LGA, emphasizing that he will not be making empty promises to the citizens, but rather will focus on the tangible results they can already observe.
He voiced his concern that many individuals are unnecessarily stressing themselves about the 2027 elections, despite the fact that the election year is still quite distant.
“2027 is still a long way off, yet many people are already causing themselves undue anxiety before it arrives.
“We are not anxious about 2027 because we have a commitment to fulfill for our people over the next four years. We’ve completed 30 months, so there’s still plenty of time ahead,” Otti remarked.
In further comments, the Abia governor added: “Just as it was in 2023, I assure you that 2027 will be even smoother. Why am I so sure? I have confidence because in 2023, we were making promises, but now we have one or two achievements to highlight.”
