The top scorer for the 2004–25 season for Rangers was Cyriel Dessers, a forward from Nigeria, according to Naijatrial.
During Sunday night’s Rangers Player Awards Ceremony, Dessers accepted the trophy. The 30-year-old has been instrumental for the Light Blues this year, scoring 24 goals in all competitions.
Last Saturday, in Rangers’ 2-2 draw with St. Mirren, the forward scored his most recent goal. Last season, James Tavernier—the captain of the Rangers—won the accolade for highest scorer.
Dessers was nominated for Goal of the Season in the 2023–24 season, but Rabbi Matondo was named the winner, as reported by the Naijatrial. After scoring in the Old Firm derby against Celtic, Matondo was awarded the prize.
