Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has suggested that Viktor Gyökeres and Kai Havertz could potentially play alongside each other.
Gyökeres joined the team this summer from Sporting CP. For the past two seasons, Havertz has taken on the centre-forward position for the Gunners.
Arteta featured Gyökeres in Arsenal’s last two pre-season matches against Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao, with Havertz coming on for the Swede in the second game.
Both players found the net in the 3-0 victory over Bilbao during the Emirates Cup on Saturday.
Arteta remarked: “They can play together. It enhances the quality of the squad, increases the goal threat in the team, and gives us various options to challenge the opposition with numerous problems.
“It’s fantastic to see both of them scoring. It’s a nice dilemma to have.
