Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has stated that only Arsenal can hinder their own chances of winning the Premier League title this season.
Carragher made these remarks on Sky Sports after the Gunners dominated Tottenham Hotspur with a 4-1 victory on Sunday.
This win has allowed Mikel Arteta’s squad to increase their lead at the top of the table to six points.
Having finished in second place for three consecutive seasons, Arsenal now has a significant opportunity to break their league title drought.
“The only team that can stop Arsenal from winning the league is Arsenal; they are the best team,” Carragher said.
“They possess the best squad. The only thing that could impede them is their own mindset, their own mentality.
“In the past, I always felt there was a team slightly better than them in the Premier League, but that is certainly not the case this season.
