NYSC deploys 2,050 corps members to Bauchi

The National Youth Service Corps, or NYSC, has deployed 2,050 corps members to Bauchi State for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 orientation exercise.

Mr Kufre Umoren, the Bauchi state NYSC Coordinator, announced this on Tuesday in Bauchi.

According to him, registration will take place from January 21 to January 23 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, the state.

He stated that the corps members’ swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for January 23, with the orientation exercise ending on February 10.

Umoren stated that each corps member would be permitted into the camp after being properly certified as legitimate graduates.

He stated that discreet screening of corps members would be conducted to prevent intrusion or imitation.

“Registration dates have been notified to corps members, who are instructed to rigorously follow all camp rules and regulations.

“Defaulters will be sanctioned in accordance with the scheme’s extant rules,” he informed us.

The scheme also frowned upon late-night excursions and encouraged corps members to stay safe.

As a result, the state coordinator assigned corps members to be punctual, diligent, and dress code compliant, warning that failure to do so would result in disciplinary action.
