Delta State Police Command officers seized a stolen vehicle carrying vandalised things in Sapele.
SP Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Thursday.
“On March 30, 2026, at approximately 1330hrs, a concerned citizen reported to Sapele Division that he saw a Toyota Sienna bus carrying suspected vandalised objects, including iron cuts and a petrol cylinder.
“Based on the information, a patrol unit led by the Divisional Police Officer was dispatched to the scene.
“When the hoodlums saw the cops, they abandoned the vehicle and fled into a nearby thicket.
“The vehicle was recovered and towed to the station.” The preliminary investigation has begun, and attempts are underway to locate and apprehend the fleeing individuals,” the statement added.
