Sabo Nakudu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Jigawa State, has pledged to leave Nigeria if the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins the 2027 general election without improving citizens’ living conditions.
Nakudu made the commitment while meeting with members of the ADC youth wing in Jigawa State.
The governorship candidate expressed alarm about what he described as escalating poverty across the country, warning that young Nigerians would continue to suffer if urgent efforts were not made to solve the country’s difficulties.
The incapacity of governments to meet fundamental requirements has led to frustration and uncertainty among citizens (18+).
According to him, access to basic amenities such as clean water, power, education, and security should not be campaign promises decades after Nigeria gained independence.
Nakudu also expressed disappointment that many villages continue to struggle to obtain drinkable water and a reliable electricity supply, stating that governments should be judged based on the impact of their policies on ordinary people’s everyday lives.
“I want to leave Nigeria if the APC wins the 2027 general elections. If the current levels of unemployment, insecurity, and poor infrastructure continue, the younger generation will face the brunt of the repercussions.
“Do not separate yourself from politics; instead, actively participate in the democratic process. Only leaders who are devoted to growth and responsibility should be appointed to public offices, he said.
