An ADC chieftain and former presidential communications adviser, Bashir Ahmad, has warned that NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running partner Rabiu Kwankwaso should be concerned about the party’s de-registration effort.
On Friday, the Lokoja Federal High Court in Kogi State reversed its previous ruling that had ordered the INEC to register the NDC as a political party.
The decision was reached after the Peace Movement Party (PMP) filed an appeal, requesting the overturning of the December 2025 ruling on the grounds that it was not a party to the lawsuit.
Justice Isah Dashen ruled in his judgement that a full hearing of all parties involved is necessary prior to making a final determination.
