In Saturday’s opening leg of their 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final qualifying round game in Ikenne, the Flamingos of Nigeria buried Algeria 4-0. The Flamingos’ Queens Joseph scored the game’s first goal in the opening three minutes.
In the thirteenth minute, Zainab Oluwaseun doubled the hosts’ lead. Just three minutes after that, Joseph scored her second goal of the match.
On the stroke of the 90th minute, substitute Aishat Animashaun scored the fourth goal, putting the cherry on top. On Friday, April 25th, Blida’s Mustapha Tchaker Stadium will host the second leg.
