Point salvaged by Sadiq in Valencia’s match against Rayo Vallecano

At Saturday’s match between Rayo Vallecano and Valencia at the Estadio de Vallecas, Nigerian attacker Umar Sadiq came off the bench to help Valencia earn a 1-1 draw. Cesar Tarrega scored an own goal just before halftime, putting Valencia down.

Andre Almeida was substituted for by Sadiq in the 66th minute. The 27-year-old scored Los Che’s equalizer with 16 minutes remaining. With five goals in ten league games for Valencia this season, the Nigerian is on fire.

Their current seven-game winning streak is the joint-longest in the league since December 2021, and it is all thanks to Carlos Corberán.
