The ambition of hosting the Commonwealth Games in Nigeria in 2030 must come true, according to President Bola Tinubu.
Tinubu made the observation that no African country has ever hosted the Games in a post on Wednesday to his verified X account.
A strong statement that Africa is crucial to the future of the Commonwealth might be made by bringing the 2030 edition to Nigeria, according to Tinubu.
Reportedly, on Wednesday, the evaluation committee for the 2030 Commonwealth Games will hear Nigeria’s last proposal to host the games.
The President said that Africa was next and called on the Commonwealth to round out the unity circle.
A multi-sport event known as the Commonwealth Games takes place every four years, with the majority of participating nations being those that were once British colonies, according to Naijatrial.
