Including the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, Dangote Refinery has announced the free delivery of premium motor spirit to five states in Nigeria, with a price of N1,075 per litre.
This was announced on Wednesday by the mega-refinery.
Free petrol delivery is accessible to the states of Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, Delta, and Abuja, according to Dangote Refinery.
A minimum purchase of 250,000 litres was set by the refinery in Lagos Lekki for the plan.
This occurs just a few days after players in Nigeria’s oil downstream sector convened at Dangote Refinery to discuss how to price petrol more fairly.
Stakeholders had already committed to a further reduction in petrol price at the conference.
In case you forgot, Dangote Refinery just announced a fourth price decrease for its product, bringing it down to N1,075/litre.
According to Abubakar Maigandi, president of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, the retail price of gasoline has decreased by 125 naira per litre, to a range of 1155 to 1299 naira per litre, during the past three weeks.
