Kim Lars Björkegren, coach of the Ghana Black Queens, is excited to watch his team face off against Nigeria’s Super Falcons. In Benslimane, Morocco, the West Africans are getting ready for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
They have a friendly scheduled against Nigeria, who have been champions nine times and are long-time opponents. On Friday, June 29, the Lanouria Complex will host the meeting.
“Nigeria presents the opportunity to face a traditional powerhouse,” Björkegren said, as cited on the Ethiopian FA website. In the friendlies leading up to the 2024 WAFFCON, Ghana will play Malawi and Botswana.
