In the Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State, security forces intercepted the suspects and recovered rustled cattle, thereby preventing a banditry attack in Yartafki village.
Bakatsine, a security analyst, shared a post on X on Sunday night that detailed the incident. The post stated that the criminals had previously entered the village and stolen livestock.
Upon obtaining information about the attack, security operatives promptly responded and intercepted the criminals before they could flee with the stolen animals, as stated in the post.
One of the suspects was neutralised during the operation, and the stolen cattle were successfully recovered.The post stated that the cattle were recovered and illicit activity in the area was disrupted as a result of the swift intervention.
The operation was characterised as a swift and well-coordinated response that averted additional losses and restored tranquillity within the community.
