According to our source, Ademola Ojo, the commissioner for chieftaincy matters and local government, disclosed the intention in a letter.
Ojo said that the coronation had been postponed for a long time in a letter he sent to Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Olubadan of Ibadanland, on March 26, 2026.
The names of the proposed new obas are: High Chief Kola Babalola, High Chief Akeem Bolaji Adewoyin, and High Chief Alli.
As far as Ojo is concerned, the coronation ceremony is officially set to take place at Mapo Hall on April 3, 2026.
