Minister of Works Dave Umahi is hopeful that President Bola Tinubu will be guided by God to lead Nigeria till 2031 and advance the country’s growth.
This was said by Umahi on Thursday as he was touring several bridge projects in Lagos State. Among them was the Carter Bridge, which is set to be rebuilt next week.
The minister asserted that supernatural assistance would be extended to Tinubu’s administration as it tackled national difficulties, including insecurity.
“The same God that brought him is going to be there to solve all the problems,” Umahi stated, pleading with Nigerians to back and assist the present government in addressing national security issues.
While acknowledging that no leader wants instability while in office, he went on to say that any accountable government must deal with problems head-on whenever they emerge.
It is the desire of every leader for his rule to be calm, yet leaders must face crises head-on. He emphasised that they are indeed doing it.
If the country’s security challenges were politically driven or not, Umahi said, Tinubu will have the intelligence and strength to deal with them and other national issues.
The minister was also certain that the current government would see through all of the initiatives it had started.
