The Kebbi State Police Command has apprehended two individuals linked to the kidnapping of three recently graduated military recruits on the Anka/Bukuyum Road in Zamfara State.
The apprehension was revealed in a communiqué sent on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer of Kebbi State Command, SP Bashir Usman, ANIPR, ANISMA.
The declaration indicates that the individuals, recognised as Abubakar Mallan Abubakar from Gargam Village, Bagega, Anka Local Government Area in Zamfara State, and Usman Muhammadu from Ajera, Ilorin, Kwara State, were apprehended on August 1 at approximately 6:15 a.m. during a focused operation predicated on reliable intelligence.
The authorities indicated that initial enquiries uncovered that one of the suspects provided valuable information concerning the kidnapping of three military trainees, who were abducted in July 2026 along the Kwanan Mayanchi–Gurusu route in Zamfara State.
As per the directive, one of the casualties, Kabiru Hassan, hails from Ribah in the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, and the other two recruits originate from Zuru Local Government Area.
The authorities have verified that all three individuals have been liberated.
