We’re your children’ – Members of the Rivers Assembly gift Wike a brand new car

On Saturday, members of the Rivers State House of Assembly presented a brand new car to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

At a ceremony held in Port Harcourt, the state capital, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, handed over the car keys to Wike.

During the event, Amaewhule encouraged Wike to view the lawmakers as his “other children at the Rivers State House of Assembly quarters.”

He stated: “As part of Christmas, as part of the celebration we brought a little token to mark this Christmas for the year 2025, so that by 2026 we will be waiting for you. Your Excellency now that you have started it you won’t stop.

“By 2026 we will be waiting for you and hopefully our wives will save more money to buy a better gift.

“On behalf of members, on behalf of our spouses and children we present to you keys to a Toyota 2025 Camry.

“We know that you have plenty already but just add this one to the ones you already have.
