The return of Per Karlsson, a seasoned fitness trainer, has bolstered the Super Falcons’ technical crew, according to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
In preparation for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the Super Falcons are stepping up their game.
Karlsson, who competed in the hammer throw in the past, was the fitness trainer for the Super Falcons under Thomas Dennerby. After the temporary head coach, Justine Madugu, takes over, the Swede will be intimately involved. At the 2024 WAFCON finals, the Super Falcons’ Group B opponents will be Botswana, Tunisia, and Algeria.
On May 30 and June 2, 2025, the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon will play host to the nine-time African champions in a double header of friendly matches.
