The 83-year-old Wyn Davies was a former centre forward for Manchester United. On Thursday, Manchester United’s website announced his death.
When the club heard of Davies’s passing, they were saddened. Davies started his professional career with Wrexham after being born in Caernarfon in 1942.
During his playing career, he was a part of teams like Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers. For his time with Wales, Davies amassed 34 caps.
In 1971, the striker made the switch to Manchester and played for Manchester City for a single season. Davies spent one season with City before signing a rumoured £65,000 transfer fee with Manchester United in 1972.
