Troops from Operation Safe Haven stopped a kidnapping attempt and freed a preacher in Kaduna State’s Sanga LGA.
The development was revealed in a post on X on Saturday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to the post, the incident occurred in the early hours of March 14 when suspected kidnappers attempted to abduct Rev. Nuhu Anche from his home in Ningishe Village.
Makama stated that troops stationed at Ungwan Gora responded swiftly after receiving a distress call regarding the attack.
The security expert observed that the forces arrived quickly at the spot, halting the operation and causing the suspected kidnappers to flee.
“The swift response of the troops forced the kidnappers to flee without taking the victim,” a security source said.
The pastor, who belongs to the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC), was rescued by forces during the operation.
Following the event, he was brought to Gwantu’s General Hospital for medical treatment.
